Rider v Rider Interview: Pat Moore v. Peter Line
Who invented the Backside Rodeo?
Well, there is a trick that's kinda similar called the 90 Roll, in which the rider turns 90 degrees off the lip does a backflip, then turns the rest of the 90 degrees. The Backside Rodeo, is one fluid motion of off axis spinning. I named it that because it is exactly the FS Rodeo done spinning backside. I did, in short, or at least I never saw anyone do it before I did it.
Who is your favorite red headed snowboarder?
What's more interesting to you photography or snowboarding?
Photography is a new interest to me, so most things new have more elements to be curious about. I've been riding for over 20 years, there is not much I haven't seen in the sport, but that's not to say that every time I'm riding pow or hitting fun little trannies and pillows it's not fun to me. I just have no interest hitting icy park kickers.
What was your best response from the Xgames interviews?
I think Jamie Anderson walking out on the interview was the best, I messed up though and ended the interview early before she got up.
What was snowboarding like when I was born?
How old are you? 25? It was way fun, 90% of the riders were beginners, so lots of falling down in jeans. Methods and Rocket Airs were the hot tricks, and tripods. No 180's for me, I was riding a split tail board.
