The third installment of this year's Snake Session began this previous Saturday in Buckhill MN.one of the only places in the world that didn't get the memo on global warming.

Over 60 competitors showed up to try and get a spot on Saturday's podium. The course was divided into two sections, and riders were broken up into two separate, 30 minute heats: The first on a double jump-line consisting of two gaps, and the other on a rail line that included a downhill flatbar, and a flat-down box set up. Half an hour later, the groups flip-flopped and in the end, six finalists were chosen to prove themselves on the jumps and flatbar.
INTERVIEW WITH THE WINNER - Brady Sobieniak

FORUM: When did you start riding?

BRADY: Six years ago.

FORUM: What was your favorite trick that you threw today?

BRADY: Back cork 5 tail.

FORUM: Yeah, that was pretty sweet. Is that your favorite trick to do? Your, kinda, go-to trick?

BRADY: Yeah.

FORUM: What was the hardest trick you tried today?

BRADY: Probably that 7 over that jump. It was a pretty sketchy jump.

FORUM: It was pretty big. Alright then, what (pro) riders are you influenced by?

BRADY: Myself, I don’t know. I just ride. I don’t really, like, try to make my style like anyone else’s or anything.

FORUM: Cool. I can respect that. Making your own way. So, when you’re not snowboarding what are you doing?

BRADY: Uh, playing guitar hero!

FORUM: Nice. Who are the other guys you ride with around here?

BRADY: My neighbor, Lance, and Hondro and Danny Faye.

FORUM: Anyone else you’d like to give a little shout-out to?

BRADY: Uh, Yeah. Thanks to my dad for taking me snowboarding so much and all my friends pushing me. It’s just good.

FORUM: Last question: Where do you hope to be in 5 years?

BRADY: Living in Colorado. Snowboarding everyday.
