Eddie Wall ventured back to his native state to host the seventh US installment of the Forum Youngblood Snake Sessions at Ski-Roundtop, Pennsylvania. Riders showed up at the resort for blue skies, warm temperatures, and 60 foot box combination for the prelims. Combos of every sort were thrown, gappage was in full effect, and we even saw a Michael Jackson go down in the midst of all of the youth.

A brief intermission took place with product raffle, and lunch provided by Funtastik board shop. Five satiated finalists were chosen, and moved onto the double-down rail for a 25 minute jam. The contest wrapped up without a hitch just in time for Eddie to sign a few posters and foreheads, before taking some turns with the riders.
INTERVIEW WITH THE WINNER - Tristan Sadler
Forum: Let's get some background info on you. What are you up to these days? School?

Tristan: I'm a senior in high school, I'm 18, and I just figured I'd come out here and do this because it would be my last year to enter. And I don't know...I figured it would be fun.

Forum: How did you hear about the contest? Have you done Youngbloods before?

Tristan: I heard about it from my friend.

Forum: Do you normally compete?

Tristan: I compete whenever I feel like it, I guess. Whenever I feel like driving far distances.

Forum: How far away are you from here?

Tristan: Three hours.

Forum: Whoa. Where's your home mountain?

Tristan: Seven Springs, near Pittsburg, PA

Forum: Who did you come out here with?

Tristan: My mom and dad and my friend Andy Davis.

Forum: Your parents are here, too?

Tristan: Yeah they decided to come down and support it.

Forum: When did you start riding?

Tristan: I started riding when I was seven. 11 years, I think.

Forum: Where are you trying to go with snowboarding? Are you just riding and hanging out?

Tristan: I want to go somewhere with it, but you know I guess I'll go wherever God takes me. I just figure, have fun and whatever. Whatever happens, happens. It's all fun.

Forum: What was your best trick today? You

Tristan: I liked the 270 on, but probably the switch 180, to revert to a frontside 180 over the down.

Forum: That was pretty shocking. It seemed like you were holding back at first, when the finals first started. Then you got comfortable and started throwing down. Normally in the final round people don't do that. They just go for it from the get go. At first, we thought, why did we put this guy in the finals? A minute later, you were just killing it.

Tristan: It was fun!

Forum: What are your favorite kind of features to hit?

Tristan: I like to hit handrails a lot, but, uh, normally I guess I just hit rails, but I like jumps, too.

Forum: In your area can you go out and find stuff to hit or do you have to mostly stick to the mountain?

Tristan: Well, in my area, since we get snow we can go out and find stuff to hit. Like last night, I went out and was hitting handrails.

Forum: Perfect lead-in for today, huh?

Tristan: I don't know. I try to hit as many, as much as I can.

Forum: Have you gotten chased? Do people bug you about it? Hitting stuff on private property?

Tristan: Yeah, we got kicked out yesterday from this church. This guy came out and started flipping out. I thought it was classic!

Forum: What did he say?

Tristan: He was just flipping out. Saying we were breaking all this stuff.

Forum: Well, were you?

Tristan: Nah, but he said we were messing up the mulch. We were just hitting the rails. He told me not to smile at him, so I was just, like, whatever. We were just having fun!
